Perth Counselling Service (ABN 39 175 639 897) is a counselling practice run by Narelle Whitfield, a mental health social worker. The service specialises in couples counselling and helping children or adults experiencing anxiety, depression, parents with a mental illness, or attachment difficulties.

At the moment the service is available Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Appointments are available between 9:00 and 6pm. Due to the current social distancing requirements to manage COVID-19 all appointments will be conducted via Skype or Zoom. Bulk Billing is available for those in financial difficulty.
Medicare has also made new medicare items in relation to COVID-19-see below for details and it see if you qualify:
New bulk-billed video-conference consultation and services, which can be provided by allied mental health workers (including AMHSWs) for certain vulnerable people
Vulnerable/isolated patients are those where at least one of the following apply:
(a) the person has been diagnosed with COVID-19 virus but who is not a patient of a hospital; or
(b) the person has been required to isolate themselves in quarantine in accordance with home isolation guidance issued by Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC); or
(c) the person is considered more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus being a person who is:
(i) at least 70 years old; or
(ii) at least 50 years old and is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
(iii) is pregnant; or
(iv) is a parent of a child under 12 months; or
(v) is already under treatment for chronic health conditions or is immune compromised.
A GP, specialist or consultant referral is required.
